Magne and 21 other Norwegians were interviewed and photographed for a book which focuses on the important choices people make in their lives. Proceeds from the sale of the book go to a Red Cross organization which is dedicated to helping former criminals build new lives when returning to society after leaving prison. The photographer for the project was Marcel Leliënhof.

“Rom 13” (Room 13) is a book portraying both celebrities and former criminals, who tell a story about one important choice that changed their lives. The book is a collaboration between the Norwegian Red Cross and The Thief, a brand new hotel situated at Tjuvholmen. The area where the hotel is situated was a place where criminals and prostitutes were hanged. Work in Progress edited the book, as well as providing concept, art direction and design work.

An excellent visual overview of the book can be found here. Photos available via The Thief Facebook page.

The book was published by Forlaget Press – visit the Press web site for ordering information, a high resolution cover and media links.
