Magne was chosen as ‘artist of the year’ for the annual Olsokdagene festival in the historic town of Stiklestad. For this festival, using the theme ‘across borders’, Magne created a series of nine prints inspired by the history of Stiklestad, limited to 20 copies. Works from ‘Camera’ were also included in the exhibition.
According to Verdalingen, it was a ‘rare large attendance’ at the festival opening, and that the artist himself drew as much attention as his work. Cultural editor of Aftenposten Knut Olav Åmås presented Furuholmen and said that “It is rare to see an artist that does such varied work at such a high level.”
About the exhibition, Magne told NRK:
– It is an essential part of making things, the things that will meet the public and the response that comes back. So I’m excited to see how the work will affect the people who come.
– I always hope that people are inspired and happy to see the art. But one never knows. I think though that there has been a great show and can not wait to see the reactions of those who come to see, said multi artist.
